Steve Vernon raced at the 28th World Mountain Running Championships last Sunday in Temu Ponte di Legno, Italy.

Steve led home the British team in 17th after a grueling ascent of 1,150 metres up the 14km climb the race lead home by Eritreans Petro Namo and Aleria Teklay, Russian Andre Safronon in third and the Great Britain team were 6th.

UK Under-17 Championships, Bedford

Chelsea Jarvis closed her track season by taking the 1,500 metres silver medal at the UK Under-17 Championships at Bedford in a new best of 4-28.12, Boder AC athlete Abbie Hetherington winning in 4-26.89.

European Masters Championships, Germany

Louise Rudd took the bronze medal in the 1,500 metres V35 at the European Masters' Championships in Germany in a new club record of 4-39.26 and finished a close fourth in the 800 metre final.
